It is worth highlighting the extensive research carried out so far in MARINE BIOPROSPECTING, based on the research into active compounds of marine origin subject to be developed into nutraceuticals, as well as the research carried out in the BIOTECHNOLOGY UNIT, which peforms extensive research and development on the regulation, development and function of lymphocytes and natural killer cells focusing upon immune surveillance in cancer, apoptosis, autoimmunity, allergic diseases and CNS disorders.
